What’s striking is the convenience of argument: “Christian and national values”. We hear the same things from the apologists now: “Judaism or nationalism”, neither seems to have any compatibility with the other but is used nonetheless to justify the actions. “Promised land” vs Ancestral Land or Our land. None of it makes any sense yet the argument goes on like a broken record.
I think in the case of Israel it is even more extreme because Israel's position is so precarious. They literally need to be at war all the time. And any nation that needs to sustain itself through constant war should not exist.

Israel depends on anti-Semitism to exist. Zionists therefore seek to define literally everything as anti-Semitism, because they can then point to all that anti-Semitism and shout, "see!! We need to have our own state or else we cannot be safe!"
